Diesel Tech

ATC Inc. is seeking applicants who want to learn to become an excellent Diesel tech. We need your enthusiasm and willingness to learn. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of
tasks related to the maintenance and repair of diesel engines and related equipment.

Responsibilities – You will learn to:
– Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines and related equipment, including fuel systems, electrical systems, and brakes.
– Diagnose and troubleshoot problems with diesel engines and related equipment, making necessary repairs.
– Conduct preventative maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, filter replacements, and tire rotations.
– Maintain accurate records of work performed, including parts and labor used.
Communicate effectively with customers and team members regarding work progress and issues.
– Follow all safety protocols and regulations, and ensure that work is performed in a safe and efficient manner.
– Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:
– Strong mechanical aptitude.
– Reading & writing along with computer skills.
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
– Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
– Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment.
– Valid drivers license and clean driving record.

Work Environment:
– The Diesel Tech will work in a shop environment, with exposure to noise, dust, and grease.
– May be required to work in cramped spaces or at heights.
– Will be required to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines.

Physical Demands:
– Frequent bending, twisting and lifting up to 50 pounds.
– Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines.
– Ability to work in a shop environment with exposure to noise, dust, and grease.
